DAY 1/2 NEW YORK AREA > WASHINGTON DC View DC's illuminated monuments by night and browse the Smithsonian by day or just people watch in any of the city's many parks, as you explore the best of America's capital. DAY 3 APPALACHIAN MOUNTAINS Enjoy the awesome scenic drive through this super-sized, 1500-mile long mountain chain and treat yourselves to smores around the campfire. DAY 4 TENNESSEE Welcome to the Deep South. For a pure adrenaline rush, don a lifejacket, grab a paddle and tackle one of the USA's best stretches of river for whitewater rafting. DAY 5 ALABAMA/MISSISSIPPI Tune in to local radio for a southern soundtrack of rhythm and blues!
DAY 6/7 NEW ORLEANS (L) Now we're talking all that jazz! Hear the real deal at Preservation Hall, do the Huckleberry Finn thing as you chug along the Mississippi River or spot gators on the included Louisiana swamp tour.
