This arrangement goes beyond the treasures of Nabataean Petra and explores Jordan's Roman, Crusader and Omayyad castles at Azrak, Kerak and Aqaba, as well as the well-preserved Roman Decapolis cities of Jerash and Umm Qais. Although a small country, Jordan's deserts, mountains and Rift Valley contain a great diversity of natural wonders. Biblical themes may be explored: Umm Qais was Gadara - where Jesus gave permission to the evil spirits to enter a herd of pigs. View at Bethany the baptism site of Jesus; the mosaic of ancient Palestine at Madaba and Mount Nebo.
