e are pleased to announce a new programme in southern Tanzania, designed for small groups of VJV travellers, staying at two special lodges not normally available for groups and going off the beaten track in Tanzania's lesser known reserves where it is possible to see vast numbers of animals but hardly another vehicle all day. Saadani's coastal location is unique in East Africa offering a combination of marine and mainland flora and fauna. In 2005 the Tanzania Parks Authority became responsible for the park and thanks to anti-poaching efforts and improved infrastructure, animal numbers have increased, especially large herds of elephant, giraffe and buffalo. In July 2010 an elephant project was set up at the wildlife sAAdAni bEACH research centre at `Tent with a View lodge' with a view to iTinerary discovering elephant corridors to locate areas of human Day 1 Fly overnight from London Heathrow direct to Dar and elephant conflict. Restaurant, bar, pool, terrace and a tree-house overlooking a waterhole. 14 rooms including 8 stone cottages with private facilities and a private veranda. Dhow Palace Hotel: A `riad-style' boutique hotel set around an interior courtyard in the heart of Stone Town, originally the home of a wealthy merchant. exTension ZanZibar Five nights at the Zanzibari Hotel, a boutique beach hotel in Nungwi on the North Eastern tip, set above the beach on a low coral cliff with easy access to the sea.
