Afternoon departure. Day 2 At sea and along the Kiel Canal, which has been in service since 1895 and has two giant locks. Day 3 Early morning arrival in Kiel, Germany. Optional visits include the open-air museum at Molfsee and a city tour of Hamburg. Late afternoon departure for the journey east to Estonia. Day 4 At sea. Day 5 Arrival in Tallinn for an opportunity to visit the old town and Kadriorg Palace, built in 1718 under orders of Peter the Great. Continue overnight to St. Petersburg. Day 6 Join an included excursion to the Hermitage Museum, visiting the Small and Old Hermitage. Overnight on board. Day 7 Day at leisure or perhaps join a visit to Yusupov Palace, where Grigory Rasputin was murdered. Alternative visits include Catherine Palace, with its turquoise, white and gold Baroque façade and the grand Peterhof Palace and gardens. Set sail for Finland. lutheran cathedral, helsinki Day 8 Arrive early morning into Helsinki with time to explore the city independently or partake in one of the optional excursions, which include a city tour and IceBar visit, boat cruise to Helsinki archipelago and a Nordic Walking tour. Overnight cruising to Turku. Day 9 After arriving in Turku, take part in an optional city tour visiting the castle, Handicraft Museum and the cathedral, or explore independently. Continue cruising west to Copenhagen. Day 10 At sea. Day 11 Morning arrival in Denmark's capital, Copenhagen, home to several stunning churches, most notably the baroque Church of our Saviour with its corkscrew spire. For the returning visitor there is an opportunity to visit the wellpreserved fishing village of Dragør, which also offers a view of the impressive Øresund Bridge that links Denmark and Sweden. Late afternoon departure to Kristiansand, Norway. Day 12 After arriving in the early morning, time at leisure is given to explore. Alternatively, join an optional scenic coastal drive with an opportunity to view one of Norway's many spectacular fjords. Afternoon departure for the journey back to Dover. Day 13 At sea.
