Day 1 Fly from London Gatwick to Marrakech and transfer to the Riad Blanc. Day 2 A full-day tour of Marrakech includes lunch, the Koutoubia Minaret, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said Palace Museum of jewellery, costume, chests and doors. Day 3 An afternoon exploration of the fascinating and colourful souks of the old medina, visiting the Medersa Ben Youssef, a 14th-century religious teaching establishment and Palais Badia. he word `Riad' originally denoted, in classical Arabic, a garden and came to be used to describe an urban home with an Andalusian or Moorish patio garden. Today's definition is accommodation of traditional character from the conversion of town houses, where rooms look inwards to the interior patio. Whilst most riads are individually owned and operated, sometimes resulting in varying standards, Riad Blanc belongs to the portfolio of the Angsana Riads Collection, itself part of the prestigious Banyan Tree group, well known in the Far East for its luxury hotels and spas. Riad Blanc has become a favourite for Voyages Jules Verne guests, who are now its best customers and occupy up to half of its rooms. Riad Blanc is well-located in the medina close to Dar Si Said Museum and 10 minutes' walk from Djemma el-Fna Square. Built in the 18th century, it features sitting rooms, patio, roof terrace with sun loungers and a small indoor pool. 8 air-conditioned rooms with private facilities (shower), mini-bar, safe, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Standard rooms and suites have double beds, Premier rooms have twin beds.
