The house is a short walk from the centre of Fort William the outdoor capital of the Highlands. The town offers a wide variety of shops, pubs and cafés and Fort William is an ideal base from which to explore the western Highlands and islands. It provides easy access to Drumnadrochit (home of Nessie!), Inverness, Inverary and Oban. The isles of Skye, Mull, Iona and the Inner and Outer Hebrides are easily accessible. The Fort William to Mallaig steam train is a firm favourite with many visitors, especially as it passes over the Glenfinnan Viaduct, where Harry Potter was filmed.
