Ireland Flexible holiday options Property Choice Many of the properties we feature in Ireland are of a more modern, villa style, sometimes set in a small complex with others. These are ideal for a holiday close to amenities and attractions. We also feature villas, traditional farmhouses and cottages in perfect 'get away from it all' spots deep in the countryside or on the coast. HUNDREDS MORE PROPERTIES ONLINE Things to know Passport Currently UK citizens do not need a passport or visa to enter the Republic of Ireland, but if you choose to fly you will need photo ID. You should also obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) and carry this with you. Pets There are no quarantine restrictions on taking your dog or cat to Ireland, providing it is coming directly from Britain, so it will not need a pet passport. Dogs have to stay on the car deck on ferry crossings, either in the kennels provided on many crossings or in your car. Most low cost flight operators do not carry pets.
