Community work with orphans in Posadas, Argentina

At our projects for youngsters in the laid back city of Posadas, a challenging and rewarding time awaits volunteers who enjoy variety and can show initiative and patience. The projects gives children a supportive and educational environment and you'll be playing a key role in supporting the staff in planning and leading activities for the children. This is a great opportunity to enable these young children to live happier and more fulfilling lives. It's also a perfect chance to learn a little Spanish and explore one of Argentina's most beautiful provinces.
Community work with special needs children in Posadas, Argentina

If you love children and are committed to those with specialised educational needs, then this project on the lush banks of the Rio Paraná is ideal. This project was founded to support deaf children and those with learning difficulties in the hope that they go on to live happier and more fulfilling lives as adults. You'll be providing career guidance, some English lessons and then giving the children the opportunity to take part in some fun activities. In turn, you'll get the chance to learn a little Spanish, take in some stunning jungle scenery and enjoy life in the beautiful province of Misiones.
The Experience
Things are going great so far, the pre-school where I'm working is very rewarding and the teachers and children are truly special. My homestay mom makes me feel so welcome and is a great cook, so no complaints there! Off to Iguazú Falls next weekend... Jenny King
Ideas for time off
1. Impress the local people by learning how to speak some Guaraní 2. Satisfy your hunger with a 'sopa paraguaya' - a corn-based tart 3. Take a trip to the Moconá Falls and go on an ecological safari 4. Unwind in San Javier and try your hand at fishing
