How to find the project that's right for you
This page is designed to help you make the most of this brochure.
We've included a quick quiz to help you work out whether working and volunteering is right for you or whether you'd be better off relaxing on a sunny beach with a good book! We've also added a range of icons which highlight ventures which we think may be suitable for certain groups. We hope you enjoy looking through the brochure and that you find something that inspires you to do something amazing this year.
Take the i-to-i challenge

Results 20-24 Join us. You've found what you're looking for: an unforgettable experience in a totally different culture. 13-19 A volunteer project will be a challenge for you at times but, with an open mind, it will still be a great experience. 0-12 Aren't you bored of package holidays yet? Get away from the crowds and give meaningful travel a chance.
Whatever your score, remember this: initiative and flexibility are the attributes of a helpful and satisfied overseas worker. At your project, you may frequently need to say, "I'm here to help. How can I help you?", as people in developing countries find it difficult giving directions to visitors. It really is true you will get out of this what you put in.
Project icons
If you are open to meaningful travel, personal development and the notion of giving something back, we may be what you've been looking for. Our projects are open to any age or level of experience, but we've placed icons on some projects that may be more suited to you. Use these only as a rough guide because, as volunteer Faye Bullen says, "Age makes no difference when there's a group of you focussed on a project".

Families
Looking for a family trip with lions instead of lager louts? If you want to make your annual escape matter this year, make it an i-to-i holiday.
Solo
Travelling solo needn't mean travelling lonely. You will meet fellow voyagers and locals by the bucket-load, helping you make the most of your trip.
Groups
Corporate crowd or social set? Either way, you'll have productive opportunities for any group holiday or team-building exercise. See page 148.
