Meaningful tour: the Ecuador and Galapagos eco-experience
Get stuck in at a conservation project whilst exploring Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. You'll start this 14-day eco-tour with a visit to Quito for orientation. Then you'll head out to the beautiful Alto Choco nature reserve to assist in conserving this valuable eco-system. You might help with reforestation, work in native tree nurseries or care for the botanic garden and organic orchids. On an amazing boat tour of the Galapagos Islands you will see diverse animal life and fascinating geologic formations. Finally, you will explore the market towns of Otavalo and Cotacachi.
Sports: coach soccer in Quito, Ecuador
(i-to-i TEFL certification included)
Forge bonds and trust with children and build their confidence through soccer. In Quito, you can work with a professional coach and around 40 budding soccer players, aged between 5 and 18. The National Association of Professional Soccer coordinates the programme at various schools around the city, where the players get training to participate in various championships locally, nationally and internationally. No qualifications are needed for you to support the coach in soccer classes and organising competitions. You may also teach a bit of English.
