Community work with orphans in Lima, Peru
(i-to-i TEFL certification included)
Experience life in Lima's suburbs and share your caring side with young Peruvians. This home has been running for over 100 years and offers much needed care and shelter to 270 young girls who have been abandoned, abused or have lost their families. Female volunteers who are compassionate, patient and can speak a little Spanish are a precious resource. We include i-to-i TEFL certification which should give you all the confidence and knowledge you'll need to face your first day of teaching English in Peru.
Community work with special needs children in Peru
(i-to-i TEFL certification included)
This is your chance to help enhance the lives of individuals with special needs. You'll be based in the pretty coastal town of Mancora, providing care and personal development activities for children with a wide range of disabilities. Prior to the foundation's opening in 2003 the children received no assistance; over the last few years things have gradually got better but there is still very little funding, so volunteers are urgently needed to help keep up the good work. This is a great chance to make a difference and spend a little time relaxing on a Peruvian beach.
