You will be travelling to Cairo where modern architecture mingles with time-honoured customs and the Pyramids of Giza loom in the distance. The delights of Alexandria are very different, with modern history remaining the firm focus. From here you will travel to Aswan where the river Nile is at its most beautiful. Finally, you will have an opportunity to enjoy Egypts spectacular coastlines. Day 4: Aswan. You will spend time talking with local people, while in the afternoon you will visit the Botanical Gardens and an authentic Nubian Village. Day 5: Aswan. You will have the whole day to explore Aswan, the Jewel of the Nile. MEDITERRANEAN SEA Alexandria CAIRO Hurghada Luxor Kom Ombo Aswan Day 6: Kom Ombo. You will sail down the Nile towards Kom Ombo on a Felucca and spend the night sleeping under the stars. Day 7: Luxor. In the morning you will sail toward the temple of Kom Ombo then travel onto Luxor where you will have the afternoon free to explore the East Bank. Day 8: Luxor. You will spend the morning with local people and the afternoon exploring the West Bank of Luxor, where you will visit The Colossi of Memnon, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Tombs of the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens. Day 9: Luxor. You will have the whole day to explore the city at your leisure. Day 10: Hurghada. You will transfer to Hurghada where you can enjoy swimming or perhaps scuba diving in the shallow waters. Sudan Day 11: Dahab. You will journey from Hurghada to Dahab, where you will have the afternoon free to explore the town and the beach. Itinerary: Day 1: Arrival in Cairo. You will be met at Cairo International airport and transferred to your hotel. Day 2: Cairo. Your morning will be spent playing with children at a local orphanage while the afternoon will see you visiting the ancient Pyramids of Giza & the Sphinx. Day 3: Alexandria. Transfer to Alexandria. Here you will visit the Kom Al-Shuqafa Catacombs, the Fort of Qaitbay, the Al-Morsi Abul Abbas Mosque, the Library of Alexandria and the Montazah Palace. Transfer overnight to Aswan. Day 12: Dahab. With a whole day to yourself you will have the perfect opportunity to try out some of Egypts water sports. Day 13: St.Catherine. In the morning you will transfer to St.Catherines Monastery where you can climb to the top of the Mountain of Moses to watch the sun rise. Day 14: Cairo. After a visit to the monastery of St.Catherine you will return to Cairo where you will have the rest of the day free.
