You will be travelling to Yamdrok, the turquoise lake, where sparkling waters are surrounded by breathtaking mountains and up into the foothills of Mount Everest where you will watch the sun rise over the worlds highest mountain. These incredible sights will be burned into your memory for all eternity but this is by no means all the tour has to offer. As well as discovering Tibets inconceivable beauty, you will be exploring the countrys unique culture as you pass from colourful markets to holy temples, royal palaces to Buddhist monasteries. And on top of all this you will have the rare opportunity to give something back as you spend time at an orphanage in Tibets stunning capital, Lhasa. Itinerary: Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Day 2: Kathmandu Valley. You will spend a day sightseeing in the beautiful Kathmandu Valley while your permit for Tibet is arranged. Day 3: Lhasa. Following the breathtaking flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa in Tibet, you will be met at Lhasa airport and transferred to your hotel in Tsedang. Day 4: Tsangpo Valley. You will explore Yarlung Tsangpo Valley, the cradle of Tibetan civilisation. You will also visit Samye Monastery  Tibets first - and Yumbulakhang castle. Day 5: Lhasa. Enroute to Lhasa, you will visit the Mindroling Monastery, the centre for learning of the Nyingmapa school of Tibetan Buddhism. Day 6: Potala. You will have a guided tour of Drepung, (Tibets biggest monastic university) Nechung Monastery, (temple of the State oracle of Tibet) and Potala Palace. Day 7: Lhasa. You will visit an orphanage in Lhasa. You may be given the chance to teach a subject, helping to enrich the childrens education and brighten their day. Day 13: Nylam. After watching the sun rise over Everest, you will drive on to Nylam. Tsedang India Bangladesh Day 14: Kathmandu. Starting in Nylam, you will drive to the Milarepa Cave, and then descend from the arid Tibetan plateau into the lush greenery of Nepal, ending in Kathmandu. Day 15: Return home. Day 8: Gyangtse. You will drive via the Turquoise Lake to Gyangtse, across the Kampa La (5050m) and Karo La (5045m) passes, visiting Kubum Stupa and Pelkor Chode Monastery on the way. Day 9: Shigatse. After driving to Shigatse  having stopped at the Shalu Monastery en route - you will visit Shigatse market and Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama. Day 10: Shegar. You will drive to Shegar across the Tsou La (4500m) and Gyatso La (5220m) passes, visiting the Sakya Monastery on the way. Day 11: Rongbuk. You will drive via the Pang La pass (5200m) to Rongbuk: at 5200m this is the worlds highest monastery. Day 12: Everest. You have the option to hike or drive to the Everest Base Camp.
