If youre looking for history, culture and beauty, theres no better place to find it than in the bustling streets of Chinas most famous cities. Youll be starting in Beijing, Chinas lively capital. This incredible city is the countrys commercial centre and simply oozes modernity and sophistication, yet it is also home to some of Chinas most prized historical landmarks including the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Then youll be whisked off to Xian, which boasts a rich cultural history that will enthral any traveller. Nestled between the foothills of the Qinling Mountain Ranges, the Wei River and Mount Hua, this intriguing city isnt lacking beauty either. Finally the tour will bring you to Shanghai. This cosmopolitan paradise is a cultural treasure trove with art and fine dining playing an important role in the local lifestyle. Whats more the residents have worked hard to retain specialised green zones so travellers will stumble upon beautiful parks and gardens in the most unexpected of places.

Day 2: Beijing. After a buffet India breakfast you will tour the capital, visiting The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace. Day 3: Around Beijing. Today you will extend your tour to the regions that surround Beijing, visiting the Ming Tombs and the spectacular Great Wall of China. Day 4: Xian. You will transfer to Xian by train. This scenic route offers breathtaking views of the Chinese countryside. Day 5: Xian. You will receive orientation in Xian and then start your project. Day 6-11: Xian. You will spend the next 6 days either doing community development work, teaching English or helping at the Shaanxi History Museum. You will also have excursions involving the Terracotta Warriors, Tang performances and Panda conservation.

Day 12: Shanghai. Transfer to Shanghai, you will be picked up at the train station and taken to your hotel, before visiting the colonial buildings on The Bund. Day 13: Shanghai: You will visit the Jade Buddha Temple and the beautiful Yuyan Garden, and see a spectacular acrobatic show in the afternoon. Day 14: Shanghai. After breakfast you will visit the Shanghai Museum. Return home.
